Fan Talk AI ("the Extension", "we", "us") is a browser extension that helps content creators draft chat replies in their own writing style. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and why.
What we process
When you use the Extension in a supported chat, it processes:
- Chat content: the messages in the open conversation (both received and sent), message timestamps, and sender identifiers, so we can generate a relevant reply.
- Media links: URLs of photos shared in the conversation, used to generate a reply that reacts to an image.
- Account identifiers: your creator account's username, email, and account ID as shown by the chat site.
- Sign-in credentials: the email and password you use to log in to Fan Talk AI, and an authentication token.
- Settings and usage: your reply preferences (tone, length, style profile, language) and technical usage/cost metadata.
We do not collect data unrelated to generating replies, and we do not use your data for advertising.
How we use it
- To generate, translate, and style chat replies for you.
- To learn and reproduce your personal writing style from your own past messages.
- To operate your account, enforce usage limits, and prevent abuse.
Where your data goes
- Chat content, media links, and account identifiers are sent to our backend at
https://www.fanai.loveover an encrypted connection (HTTPS). - To generate text, our backend sends the necessary content to third-party AI processing providers (for example, Venice AI) solely to return a generated reply.
- We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone other than the AI and infrastructure providers required to run the service.
Storage in your browser
The Extension stores locally in your browser (chrome.storage): your sign-in token, your settings/preferences, and a consent flag. This stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the Extension or clear its storage.
Retention and deletion
We retain your account, style profile, and usage records while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the contact below; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except limited records we must keep to comply with law.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Adult content
The Extension is intended for adult (18+) content creators, and generated messages may include mature themes. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process data of minors.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above shows the latest version.
